• I used mine on a cruise ship and you don't have to use the plug that comes with it. As long as there is a usb connection in the hotel or cruise ship. You can use it to charge the tablet and it does just fine charging that way.

• When traveling outside the US you should always carry an power outlet adapter for that country, they are different. Then if there is no USB outlet available you can plug in the adapter to the outlet then plug in your tablet/Phone power converter. I have done this all over Europe. Also on most cruise ships the AC power is of US standards and they may even have an outlet for the non US passengers .. You should google that cruise line and check their specs. Hope that helps.
