“One reviewer made the comment that this tablet can be charged faster using a higher voltage charger: "Unit is capable of "fast" charging with 9V USB charger" even though the machine comes with a 5Volt charger. Is this recommended by the manufacturer?”

Hi Ralphie. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I appreciate your taking the time to raise this inquiry regarding the Samsung - Galaxy Tab A8. A 9V charger will be too much for the device and can cause damage to it. We have higher wattage for faster charging but not higher voltage.
