• A:Answer I purchased this tablet in January and I have received two security updates since then. So this tablet does receive updates, but they seem to not be as often as my Android cell phone receives updates. That's probably because with my phone, I receive updates from Samsung and my phone company and with the tablet, updates are only coming from Samsung.
