THIS DEVICE IS NOT WATERPROOF OR RESISTANT. YOU CAN NOT SWIM WITH IT OR SUBMERGE IT. IT WILL BLACK SCREEN!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This watch isn't water resistant at all. I don't swim or bath in tubs, my watch had never been submerged at all, yet when I sent it to Samsung because the screen died, they told me it was water damaged. The most I'd ever done with this watch on what wash my hands. Oh and btw, water damage voids the warranty, so they'll insist that you essentially pay what amounts to the full cost of the watch to fix something that is clearly a manufacturing defect. Avoid avoid avoid at all costs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Used this watch swimming in a 4ft pool, and on the 3rd time it repeatedly restarted, and then went black. Wan't water resistant after all! Samsung refused to honor their warranty saying it was water damage on a watch that is supposed to be water proof till 50 meters!! AVOID SAMSUNG WATCHES!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the watch is water resistant and you are supposed to be able to swim with it. However, do this at your own risk. Smart watches that are supposed to be waterproof have been famously known to fail when taken into water, and the worst part is that Samsung will not warranty the device if there is water damage. This happened with my wife's gear fit 2 pro, which is also supposed to be waterproof. Took her watch into the pool with her a few months after purchasing it and it destroyed it. Samsung refused to warranty due to water damage but offered to fix for almost the price of a new watch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The watch is completely water resistant upto 50 meters or about 150 feet. You can swim with it for sure, in either fresh or salt water, and it can handle some rough waters as well, no problems at all. The only thing I would avoid is deep diving. You should have absolutely no problems at all with your triathlon training.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On paper it suppose to resist a swim or a shower. However, sometimes it doesn't resist, and water damage is NOT covered by warrantee.. The repair costs the same as a new watch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you're considering the Samsung Active2, Absolutely DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH. It's nice looking, has nice functionality, but I'm currently being sent in circles because they're saying my 4 month old *water resistant* watch isn't covered under the warranty because I got it wet. I've done nothing more than wash my hands with it on. Look up "Samsung won't honor warranty on Active2" and you'll find the same stories. Also, the screen is prone to getting dings in it. It's honestly a step down from the Gear S2 when it comes to reliability and sturdiness.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My wife's Active 2 had water getting into it after 14 months while washing her pet with the shower nozzle on the garden hose. We bought it at BestBuy, Dublin, Ca after a Samsung sales person said the watch would have no problem with this specific application. I spent over an hour on the phone with 2 Samsung service people. End of story: Samsung said it was out of warranty and i needed to pay $99 for repair plus shipping.....almost as much as what we paid for the watch ($179). Talked to a manager at the Best Buy Dublin store afterwards and he said that there was nothing that he could do.....although I buy a lot at this store both privately as well as for business.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it is not. DO NOT swim with this watch. Do not get it wet. Ive had TWO of these die on me, and once it was from SWEAT from working out. Stuck in and endless boot loop, and then died. Contacted samsung and they tried to charge me more than what i actually paid for it. For sweating on a FITNESS watch. I like these watches, but they are FRAGILE. DO NOT buy samsung smartwatches. And if you do, DO not get them wet
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Samsung is unethical. FYI: it has taken me over 5 hours so far, but the repair guy I spoke with said that the first thing they do when a watch arrives for repair is to subject it to a blast of compressed air. If a leak is detected, THEY WATER TEST IT. THIS is why so many watches are "water damaged." THEY are damaging them. I am working on getting my warranty honored now that I know the truth. They should just open and inspect when they arrive.
