Is a water resistant watch ok in the shower? null

I just received a call from Samsung stating my warranty was void because of water damage. They wanted $220 for repairs. I wouldn't get it wet at all or get something else. Samsung really let me down by not standing by their product. I am going to buy a Garmin.
