It does have the ability. Its the reason I bought it (lte version). The app can be the free version and stream to watch when away from phone. It does have storage for music, but not a ton. 4gig total. Mine is showing 3.4 used, but not sure what is using that space at this point. Still space for some songs if streaming isn't cutting it for you.
