The Gear watches pair extremely well with a Samsung phone. The watch can do most of what the phone can do thru Bluetooth pairing or Wi-Fi. So if your Samsung phone works, your watch will work too.

Considering this device uses your phone's Bluetooths and Wifi . I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as you have a phone that works in South America . I
