“When they say open box does that mean something is wrong with the watch or is there something missing. Why was the watch returned in the first place.”

Typically in my experience open boxes are either floor models or units some one changed their mind on. It could be something as simple as they didn't like the functionality or it was not completely compatible with their device. I have seen them come complete like new. To being well used. Best buy seems to be one of the better in clearly marking used floor model vs simply bought and returned.
