“When purchasing, how do I know which "carrier" option to choose? (ie GPS vs. unlocked?) How do these options affect compatibility with certain phone carriers (looking for Verizon specifically) as well as the watch's functionality?”

From what I gather I would go for unlocked like I did andnuse Bluetooth version instead of lte. If you go with Verizon you will have to pay more for the watch and a 10 fee for adding what was described to me as an additional line( watch has its own number) I have verizon and I have good range with bt and it was 284 open box and you won't find a watch at verizon for that cheap used or new.
