The watch works perfectly fine without LTE. You just won't get stand-alone data/text services. BT will allow you to make calls, text, etc. provided you are within range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use off of Bluetooth and/or wifi. I used it for a couple of weeks and never connected to my phone carrier.

You are able to use this device as a Bluetooth-only watch by simply not activating the LTE service. The watch would then function exactly like the Bluetooth-only model, which relies on a connection to your phone for calls, messages, and other data features. However, to take advantage of the promotion through Google Fi, please update your watch in the Galaxy Wearable app when update is available. Then once your device has been updated, please open the Galaxy Wearable app, navigate to your watch settings, then to mobile plans, and finally Setup mobile plans. *Google Fi phone plan not required. No changes to your current phone number or plan required. 4G data speed is included with the offer up to 500 MB per month, after which usage, data will slow to 256 kbps. Data will be capped at 1 GB per month. Voice calling over LTE is not supported. If you have additional questions for us, do not hesitate to reach out to Support. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra
