• I sometimes look at my history on my phone otherwise just my device but it does notify me of incoming calls with caller id and I can read my texts on it and I can select what apps on my phone I want to jive with. or receive notification for.

• The Gear Fit should always be paired to your Samsung phone. I have the pedometer always on the watch but turned off on the phone. The steps will sync to the phone in the S health App.
