If you select walking or running, it will continue to monitor your heart until you click pause or stop. The heart rate will be located inside the green heart on the side

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Heart rate was accurate, but given the limited sensor in this, tracking the heart rate continuously would use up the small 4gb hard drive aboard. I doubt this could ever be done on this device due to hard drive constraints.

I got a Polar chest heart rate monitor that syncs with a running app that I have and it's the more on target than this and it keeps a constant reading so that I know what heart rate zone I'm in while running, cycling or any other activity. After 4 months of use, I find this watch to be useless for a fitness watch. Distance is always at least .5 to over 1 mile off along with everything else.
