I know this is an old question, but these S2 watches are still out there, so the question is still very relevant, and every single one of the other answers are based on only one version of the watch, but there are actually versions of the S2 and the S2 Classic. Read on... The Samsung Gear S2 DOES have a speaker, but it's only on the 3G models. It's the models that are exclusively Bluetooth that don't have a speaker. In other words, if your S2 or S2 Classic has its own phone number and can be used completely independent of the phone, then it does have a speaker. I know this because I still have one of each. But, if your S2 or S2 Classic requires a compatible phone and has to be within Bluetooth range to place/receive calls and send/receive messages, then there is no speaker.

Please try again later.Hi There is no speaker on the s2 classic. you get notifications with vibration yes but no sounds at all. you can reply to text messages by using the microphone or typing your messages sending it as txt or a audio attachment, and seemed to work well on the s2.

Yes, you can dictatedictate text messages from tje watch as it has a built in microphone. There is a customizable list of text responses and a keyboard option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is no speaker on the s2. The s3 has a speaker and you can even answer tour phone with the s3, but not the s2. Notifications of phone calls, texts, emails come with vibrations with both watches.
