No. This watch does not have its own SIM card, and as such does not require an additional phone line or fee.

Also if you don't want it connected to your phone it can be used as a standalone watch that also requires no additional service but the features are limited in standalone mode.

I cancelled the phone line and now it does everything but allow me to talk on it, which I rarely ever did which is why I cancelled the phone line. It gets texts, tells me when my phone battery is low, tells me when I'm leaving without my phone, finds my phone, and a bunch of other cool stuff. I probably sound like a paid advertiser or something, but Im not. I just really like the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do not. There are 2 versions that were made. One has speaker, and antenna chil within it for you to have a cell plan. Then theres the "wifi" version that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. It is slightly smaller.

Its only $ 5 a month on my phone bill and i don't need to carry my phone with me every where i go. It depends upon what you're wanting to do with your watch.
