A:Answer Carrier should not matter. If you are looking for the cellular version (G3 or G4), that may have carrier restrictions for standalone use (not connected to phone). But without it, it should work with any carrier, as long as you have a phone with space to download the Gear app.
Phone wise, however... They are designed to work with Samsung phones. Does that mean it won't work with other phones? No, it works with most phones, but may not have some of the advance functionality that it would with a Samsung phone (such as transferring steps/activity status to S health, a Samsung branded health monitoring app).
