There is 16GB storage internally on the watch. You can synch your iTunes Music and Library. Same goes for Google Music as well too. I wear the watch when I’m running and working out and it works great with my AirPods.

You can choose on the watch if you want to play through headphones or phone. You do have to have them loaded on your phone to put them on the watch. I leave my phone in the car and use my watch at the gym. You can skip shuffle.
