Hey, solid questions, Antokneeo, if that is your real name... The limited warranty, as far as I can tell, covers stuff you can blame on GeekSquad, BestBuy or Samsung. That means hardware problems, whether they be dead on arrival or faulty and failing after a while. They could be from the factory, or from any previous use. If its not your fault, it should ABSOLUTELY be covered. In my case, there was 0 cosmetic damage, and I got it shipped on July 31. I think these are surplus laptops that they are trying to sell off. I think that because this is last years model and Samsung just released their new model for this series. If you do get any cosmetic problems, they can only be on the case, and it will have no effect on performance. There should be nothing on the screen or gumming up your keys, nor should it compromise your laptops structural integrity. Hope this helps!
