Yes, the since the iPhone 8 every iPhone has been water/dust/snow “RESISTANT”, same goes with Samsung. I would know over tried them all. I prefer Apple though. The picture quality will debatable because everyone has their own opinion. I think apple has better quality picture taken abilities then Samsung - I say that because I’ve owned S7 S8 and S9. I’ve also owned Apple 7-8-10-10S. Just be weary just because they say they are RESISTANT to these elements doesn’t mean to go without a case and drop it in water on purpose and expect either of them to work afterwards.
