These SSDs are occasionally used by Geek Squad at a retail store to move data or temporarily store data on a laptop they are selling or fixing. Then they wipe the SSD, check it, and re-package it as a used SSD.

- Answer It certainly would! They typically come formatted as NTFS (PC compatible) but can easily be reformatted with Disk Utility to use as a Time Machine Backup drive or simple file storage.

- Answer The original warranty is 3 years for the new product. As this is a refurbished unit it comes with a 90 days warranty. You can find the warranty details in the “Specifications” section. It’s showing 90 days manufacturer warranty.
