QuestionThen do you need an AVR if you are just using the sound bar and woofer for tv audio? Does the sound bar require both 110v and a hard wire connection to tv?

- Answer Hello Dusty, Hi! The HW-S800D features three ways to connect to an external device: HDMI (ARC), digital optical audio, and Bluetooth wireless audio technology. If your TV is compatible with one of these three audio connections, you should have no issue connecting the soundbar to your TV. You will have to have the Soundbar plugged into to a power outlet. ~Samsung Solutions

QuestionSeeing conflicting info online... Do BOTH the hdmi eARC and wifi options support Dolby ATMOS while also allowing the use of the TV speakers (Q-Symphony) option? AND is hdmi cable supplied the same connector on both ends?

- Answer Hello SW123, Yes the HW-S800D Soundbar supports wireless Dolby Atmos as well as HDMI eARC. As long as you have a Q-Symphony compatible TV you will be able to enjoy this feature. The provided HDMI cable is Micro HDMI which you connect to the Soundbar and HDMI to connect to your TV or compatible device. ~ Samsung Solutions.

QuestionMy Samsung TV’s stand juts out about six inches in front of the screen so the soundbar can’t lie flat in front of it unless I push the TV way back. Can I purchase an assembly to hang the soundbar under the TV? Is balancing it on the 1/2” high stand OK?

- Answer Hi SW123, Yes when the HW-S800D Soundbar with the SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers are connected to your Samsung TV via Wi-Fi or HDMI you will be able to enjoy Q-Symphony audio from all the speakers. The SWA-9500S Rear Speakers connect to the soundbar using a Bluetooth signal and must be placed within 33ft of your soundbar for optimal connection. ~ Samsung Solutions

QuestionHow do I get more bass from this system?

- Answer Hello George. There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer: 1. Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in. 2. Adjust the bass control by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons. Alternatively, you can adjust all of these same settings and more within the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device. ~ Samsung Solutions

- Answer I doubt that it is compatible with the wireless rear speakers since its wireless system is used for the sub-woofer and it does have a standard e-ARC connection which may allow syncing.
