the drying is actually one of the better aspects of this machine. we run it mostly overnight, because the heavy washing mode takes more than 2 hours. there is a feature that opens the door at the end of the cycle to help dry. most of our dishes come out dry. they just don't always come out clean. :(

Within 15 minutes of end of dry cycle the door opens automatically, aiding air dry. Energy efficiency is the key here. We run dishwasher at night, door opens before we go to bed, in morning most things are completely dry.

This is the second one I bought and only reason I had to buy another one is because I moved into a brand new house and hated the GE dishwasher that came with the house and bought this one. I am very happy with it!!
