Yes this is normal. Im a contractor and almost every dishwasher i install are wet inside this is because the manufacturer tests them to make sure there's no leaks and stuff before they ship them out.

May I suggest you proceed to using without ever addressing the presence of water following installation. When installing, this includes plumbing the water and filling the lines. Perhaps water entered the tub at that time. This is our first dishwasher that opens its own door towards the end of the cleaning cycle. We find the interior dryer compared to any other dishwasher we have owned. I expect you will be thrilled with its performance. We use the Short cycle mostly. One note: The layout is so efficient, we have been running out of silverware and some plates because the capacity is so high. Nice problem to have.
