Q: QuestionJust what good is this so called "sanitize" on this machine?? It's pretty much a joke!! The sanitize button blinks until the time gets to zero, then it goes to solid light. The fan continues to blow lukewarm air. NOTHING TO SANITIZE OR ABOUT IT!!!!
Asked by Jules.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - 24" AutoRelease Dry Smart Built-In Stainless Steel Tub Dishwasher with 3rd Rack, Linear Wash, 39dBA - Black Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Great question, Jules! With the Sanitize option selected, the water temperature is increased in the final rinse cycle for high temperature sanitization. The Sanitize light will blink when the water temperature reaches a high enough temperature and stays lit until the Sanitize option ends, you open the door, or you turn off the dishwasher. The Sanitize option also helps to improves drying performance. ^Jecca

Q: QuestionWill this washing machine accommodate a queen-sized comforter?
Asked by Sioux.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - 4.4 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with ActiveWave Agitator - White
- A:Answer While I have not run a comforter through this machine, I do wash my King sized fitted sheet, top sheet, four pillow cases and two King sized fleece blankets all at once with still a third of the top unfilled. I have to dry this load in two partial loads because I still have an old dryer that takes forever with the aforementioned load.

Q: QuestionCan the cascade pacs be used in the dishwasher instead of liquid or powder detergent
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - 24" AutoRelease Dry Smart Built-In Tub Dishwasher with 3rd Rack, Linear Wash, 39dBA - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Yes, but there is only room in the dispenser for one tablet or pac. There is a little extra room in the dispenser, but not enough to jam another tablet or pac. If you have hard water or an especially greasy load, you have to put a second tablet directly into the bottom of the dishwasher to be used in the pre-wash. There is no way to use two tablets or pacs in the main wash. I have found that this dishwasher does such a good job that I only need the one pac, except for an occasional very messy load. In those cases, I throw one more pac into the bottom of the dishwasher and it all comes out clean.

Q: QuestionCalifornia code? Air gap, aerator, prevent backflow. Does this have a internal unit or does one have to be installed on your sink dw80r9950us one model number
Asked by Rick.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - 24" AutoRelease Dry Smart Built-In Tub Dishwasher with 3rd Rack, Linear Wash, 39dBA - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Hi Rick, We would love to answer all of your questions about this Samsung dishwasher model. The California Code (California Proposition 65 warning) requires warning labels on products that may expose consumers to any of the 900-plus chemicals that California lists as a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant. This Samsung dishwasher model does not provide an air gap and an aerator but is compatible to be used with an existing air gap in your sink if there is one. If there is not an available air gap to prevent backflow, secure the drain hose to the side or back wall of the kitchen cabinet using cable ties or other fixtures. Make sure the drain hose height is at least 10 inches from the sink connector. This dishwasher model has to connect to your sink for the drain hose. Leo

Asked by Nate.
This question was asked about the related product: Samsung - 24" AutoRelease Dry Smart Built-In Stainless Steel Tub Dishwasher with 3rd Rack, Linear Wash, 39dBA - Black Stainless Steel
- A:Answer We use Finish Ultimate Cleaning. It has a rinse agent that greatly decreases water marks. Earlier we tried a generic dishwasher soap and had a lot of trouble with water marks. Also, we use the Sanitize setting to further decrease marks and improve drying. Adds 45 minutes to the cycle but makes a difference.
