• Some times it works fine in s4 but other times its giving m3 the same message

• The galaxy s 4 may have a different version of mhl then the one you are using so it may be having issues directly related to that.

• those rocketfish mhl adapters suck it's probably the adapter.. try restarting your device and trying again if all else fails return it to best buy and exchange it for a new one
