“What type of alarm does it send to your phone when motion is detected? Text, phone ring or email? Can this just be used with iPhone without hub?”

• The motion sensor itself doesn't sent any alarms to your phone. It is design to work with the Smart Thing hub. When it detects motion it send that to the hub and the hub is what sets you an alarm via the selection you made when you set it up in how to alert you.
