No, this sensor requires some hub. I would recommend the Samsung hub. Right now it’s $69. Once you have that you can do just about anything. I have mine controlling lights, garage doors, front door locks, and motion sensors. It’s a lot of fun to say “Alexa Goodnight”. and ave it close the garage door, lock the front door, and dim all the lights to night mode. Enjoy!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No... you need a compatible hub.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I believe this device uses Zigbee for communication which is where the hub comes in. IFTTT sends commands from cloud service to another. Hub must be present to translate from Samsung cloud to hub to device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this device will work with IFTTT without a hub but you will have to get creative with how IFTTT connects with this motion sensor. First step would require getting this motion sensor working with a different zigbee controller using other software. This is possible but not anywhere near as easy as doing so using a SmartThings hub. Once you have accomplish that, the next step would be getting whatever software you now having working with this motion sensor talking to IFTTT. I can state it is possible because I have done it but prepare for a learning curve
