You won't be able to make full use with HDMI. It requires display port to get the maximum refresh rate of 240, HDMI will not go over 60.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately this does not have hdmi 2.1, so I believe there is a bandwidth bottleneck where you would not be able to get the full resolution + 244hz

As for the HDMI, I'm having a hard time getting it to show up at full resolution as it just seems to refuse to output anything above 3840x1080 on the HDMI port. If your only goal is to get to the 240 Hz for basic Windows, then yes a Display Port is going to be your only option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think hdmi is a bottleneck displayport best
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unlike the screen's two DisplayPort connections, the HDMI version is "only" 2.0, not 2.1 HDMI 2.0 will give you the full resolution, but you will be limited to 60Hz refresh rate. As for cables, any modern high speed Rocketfish HDMI should be fine. I would still recommend using a DisplayPort cable as v1.2 (which is the likely version your laptop supports) will add 120Hz support over an HDMI connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll need a HDMI V2 but you will not see the full specs that can throw at you like the 240hz. You will need a Display port cable V1.4 to see it's full potential.
