I mostly use it for productivity but do some slight gaming on the side. Went with this for the more intense curve because I felt it'd be better for my eyes. I love it! Extremely easy to setup and use. It's heavy so be aware of that. Truly only ONE monitor stand on the market can hold this up. Quality is really good, no issues so far (knock on wood). I've heard horror stories from others regarding this monitor but decided to try my luck. I did buy the BestBuy additional warranty just in case. The monitor crackles every now and again due to the technology heating up but it's not noticeable unless you're truly nitpicking. The resolution is clear and easy to read text. I recently bought a PS5 and have been using the PIP/BIP display settings to have split screens.

The 5120x1440 resolution provides ample workspace for most productivity tasks. The ultrawide experience is also phenomenal for immersive gaming but you’ll want a decent video card to get the most out of the high refresh rates. Highly recommend this for professionals and gamers alike.

It’s a much faster refresh rate, better color, and overall larger. It’s been a great experience gaming and using it for work. Almost turns 3 monitors into one. A bit of a challenge to mount with the correct mount to support the weight, but got it to work finally!

Had to warranty mine because of issues with tabbing out of games, monitor would go black and give me blue lines. Not great for fps but story games or survival games it’s very good.

My only issue was the monitor made me so motion sick that I had to return it. I gave this thing 5 stars because it really is a 5 star monitor. The motion sickness is my fault, I’m just thankful Best Buy has an amazing return policy!

The zero compromise monitor, but...

There it is not without it's issues though. First, there is an issue with flickering when G-Sync is enabled. This goes away if you disable G-sync. What seems to trigger it are medium gray colors. I believe this to be an issue with Nvidia's GPU drivers (I am using a 3090FE). Also, Nvidia has messed up Display Stream Compression in it's latest drivers so you cannot go to 240hz refresh with the current drivers, You have to use Nvidia's driver version 456.98 to enable 240hz mode. Lastly, there are now adjustable monitor arms that can support the weight of this monitor as it is curved, the one I bought even though I tightened the tilt bolt all the way would still sag. I ended up using a steel pin though the hinge to stop the sag. If you are planning on using the included stand or using a wall mount you will be fine.

- A:Answer Yes, it is the Odyssey G9 I'm not sure why Samsung decided to revise its model number but I own both the LC49G95TSSNXZA, LC49G97TSSNXDC models and I can say they are the exact same product.

- A:Answer Yes, in-fact both the stand and wall bracket are included. You might just have to buy a VESA adapter to attach to your wall then you would attach the included wall bracket to the back of the monitor which would then let you hang the monitor on the VESA adapter.

- A:Answer Definitely get a rig with an RTX 30 series card. I have an RTX 3080 and I9 10850K and every bit of that power gets used to run this monitor. Remember, because it is so wide at 1440, it has ALMOST the same amount of pixels to push as a 4k monitor. Corsair Vengeance PCs are a great pre built at a reasonable price.

Q: QuestionCan someone confirm if this works with the M1 Macs? Also, does it have a vesa mount and is there one that will support it without any kind of sagging?

- A:Answer So, here’s the thing with the Macs. Their USB-C to DP or HDMI, has issues when running the display port a 1.4, but works fine at 1.2. However, I already had a Thunderbot 3 docking station and when connected to the MacBook, it worked perfectly in DP1.4 mode at 120 Hz.

- A:Answer Returns right now are good through Jan 16th 2021. With a monitor this high end I would recommend getting Geeksquad protection on it.
