• yes. All monitors actually can do that, this one gives you the equivalent of 2 27" monitors side by side. All you do is drag your window from the title bar over to one side of the screen and windows will snap that window to exactly half your screen size. This functions on all monitors.

• Yes it can. you can select different sizes images just by moving the window to the top of the screen. We use it for quick books a lot because you can have several windows open and be able to view them in a size that makes it easy to read.
