“I'm wanting to use the Samsung r7070 to vacuum multiple floors (i.e., upstairs and downstairs). Can the unit map multiple floors? If so, do I need a base unit charging station for each floor since they are larger areas that require the unit to recharge?”

You may want to check of the "mapping" feature. The R7070 does not actually create a map. It uses Visionary Mapping which uses the camera to navigate. I never got any map even though they said it would create coverage map after it finished a cycle. The customer service person said only the R9250 has actual floor mapping.

You can carry the base and the robot to each floor though the robot doesn't actually have a carry handle built into it. It's not smart enough to distinguish the different areas and just does a whole new scan each time you ask it to clean.
