Yes, this player can be reprogrammed to play region free. Though it requires a lot of patience and strict direction following. There are several websites where other users have posted the codes and directions to do this. A simple google search of " samsung dvd-c350 multiregion codes" will give you a list of these sites. The one i found most helpful was a site called videohelp and after about 30 minutes and a lot of frustration mine will now play all regions.

If you purchase the unit within the US, it will only have support for All Region and Region 1 DVDs ("All Region" DVDs refers to DVDs that are marked as region 0 or "Region All". This does not mean the player can play every regions’ DVDs). -MrSamsung
