• That should work - but the better answer is a booster / repeater or simple another zwave device of any kind that you can get set of since all devices act like repeaters as well in a mesh style network. Just plop a light switch or outlet in between your dead zone.

• You have to get smart things WiFi hub not just the hub.

• No But if you get the Samsung connect home mesh routers they now expand zwave and zigbee. I am currently using them with great success.

• Are you sure that you need to extend your network? ZigBee and Z-wave are both mesh networks. The individual switches and bulbs connected to a hub extends the network, I don't thing you would need it
