Yes. I have it plugged to a portable charger, which doubles the battery life. However, the device does go to sleep after a period of inactivity, and never wakes ups, unless the physical button is pressed (which defeats the purpose of it being used to track a stolen car). You do need to go into the Smart Things app settings to disable Power Saving Mode, and have itself report its location every 3 hours. I have seen a lot of complaints by customers, so hopefully Samsung addresses this in a future software update.
