You could use the sensor like that if it's connected to the hub and you used IFTTT or Stringify in combination with a Z-WAVE siren, or you could have a notification sent to your phone using IFTTT, even call your phone!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's just a motion sensor that relays to another. Besides telling you the temperature, it will not give of an audible siren/alarm if triggered.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sensor can be mounted to the side of the boat where it will not get wet. You have to have a Samsung Smart Things hub connected to your Internet service. When the sensor is triggered, the hub will contact you on your cell phone to let you know that an intrusion has been detected. If you want a siren, you have to get one that is compatible with the Smart Things hub.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would need to also buy a z wave alarm. It is possible but you would need a hub on the boat (which required hard wired internet) or the boat needs to be close enough to the house for the sensor and alarm to connect to a hub indoors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need the SmartThings hub for this sensor to work. It doesn't have an integrated audible alarm. It is not a vibration sensor. This is just a passive infrared sensor which apparently has a temperature sensor built in too. You can set it up with the SmartThings hub to send you a text notification when motion is sensed.
