This is a wifi based outlet not zigbee or zwave like their older models

The SmartThings Smart Plug connects via a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection and is not a ZigBee device or ZigBee repeater. Both devices have a power meter within the SmartThings App, and the Smart Plug can also track energy consumption.
