Q: QuestionReceived my new dishwasher today. It came with a silver sheet with a sticky backing to it. Cant figure out what its for and where it goes.

• A:Answer This is a heat and moisture guard for countertops that are wood or something that could be damaged by heat and moisture. We have granite so we didn't even install. I suspect it's because the washer automatically opens the door when done washing to help it dry and air out. If you have granite or stone don't install. If you have wood based or such then you need to center to the top and apply across top and down the sides a bit.

• A:Answer Its air dry only. The door opens at the end of the cycle to help dry, but I usually wait until the next day to unload so it can dry a bit more.

• A:Answer The instructions say it includes a connection nut but mine did not include it. My delivery was an absolute mess so the delivery guys may have simply taken the nut because that happened with my washing machine. Worst experience ever with my appliance delivery from Best Buy ... but to answer your question, mine did not come with a connecting nut.
