- Answer It requires an installation kit. If you're replacing the unit, you can use kit with the previous dishwasher. I think it's an energy saving unit but I'm not so sure

QuestionI have the Samsung that is the one just previous to this model. It’s freeking out and I’ve only used it two years. The repair guy said it would cost me around $500.00 for parts and labor. My question is; 1) can I order parts for a DW mfg in 2016

- Answer Hello valcb75! The reason your dishwasher is opening is that it has an auto-release door. At the end of the cycle, the door automatically opens to circulate air and improve drying performance. ^Nic

- Answer A full normal wash with dry cycle takes 1 hour. The nice feature which I love it the last 15 minutes the door pops open the fan keeps blowing to cool everything down.

- Answer No, However because this model has the self opening door upon completion of the cycle it is pretty hard to pull open once closed.
