• Yes - the top panel has several LEDs to indicate status, with the "operating" LED closer to the front of the unit. It's very easy to tell it's operating.

• Yes it does have a light source ..you will see the Samsung blue light on when washer is in operation ..

• Yes. This has a very bright blue led light on the top control panel when it's running. If you need/want to open it mid cycle, you press and hold the start button 3 seconds to cancel. It will drain, the led will turn off and then you can open it. Press start again to resume.
