  • QuestionJust bought the player, it won't recognize video/audio files on a USB thumb drive - filetypes that are listed as compatible in the user's manual. Anyone know what the thumb drive needs to be formatted as? i.e. FAT32, ExFat, etc

    Asked by Samm.

    • Answer The usual FAT32 is okay unless your file size is bigger than 4GB. There are times where a file downloaded from the net is unreadable even though that format is listed as a recognized format of the USB drive. In these instances, the file has something in the format that makes it not play in the player. I suggest you download "Format Factory" - a free video/audio file format converter. It's a free software. Convert the files to another format and then try it. Good luck

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer yes, very well. as stated in my review, we have 4 in our household now; only (previously) used one to stream...others are used as simple Blu-ray players with no problem. Just bought "with wifi" because when they were on sale, they were actually cheaper than any other 'non-streaming' player.
