“Can I use this to move files from my mac to my pc?”

• Yes you can, if you have the disk formatted exfat. If you have formatted (erased in mac talk) to HFS+ use disk utility on your mac to format (erase) it to exfat. If you have to format it you will have to recopy your files.I believe it comes formatted in exfat. Exfat is a format that both machines can read and write.

• My experience is that a hard drive formated for mac has to be reformated when used with a pc. That would wipe the files off of the hard disk. I suggest checking the specs and description of the unit to understand if this is an issue.

• Yes. If you format the drive as Fat format which is the default. Fat format is compatible with Mac and Windows.
