“Can I use this to install games on and move games from my laptop to it and than play the games from it? Also can I leave it plugged into my laptop all the time as my laptop only has a 250gb ssd in it now. Thanks for the help.”

Yes you can save and move game files to it. As far as can you load up games and play them, i have had no issues loading up my steam games from it. Mine is always plugged into my laptops usb, however i do have to leave my laptop on dc power cause i run so many devices and software at once the battery dont last long.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If on a Mac you can MOVE app (applications) to external devices and they should run with no problem. I do this with several of my apps and 2 of them are games. On Windows this will also work but most likely only if you INSTALL TO THE EXTERNAL DRIVE. When I used to use Windows I knew a few tricks which allowed me to run Windows applications from external drives even if I did not install to the external drives (which includes flash drives too). You can keep this external drive connected to your computer, this is what I do on my Mac...no problems.
