USB 3.0 ports typically have a blue plastic strip just inside the opening... check your computer. If the piece just inside the port is white, those are typically USB 2.0, which will work with the drive, but will be SIGNIFICANTLY slower.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you would either want to back up to iCloud, or connect your iPad to your computer to move files back-and-forth. Another option is a lightning/USB thumb drive. You could quickly back up photos and files to something like that .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The drive will not work with the iPad mini or the iPad or iPad prod 10.5. The drive will not work with the iPhone even with an adapter.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't save it straight from the mini and you don't need to have usb 3 port, you can use a regular one, it just will be slower. If you have your iPad mini backed up to your computer, then you can transfer it from the computer to the hard drive, just Google how to do that. My gf bought the surface pro and the T5, she transferred her iPhone and other contents from the old laptop to the Samsung T5.
