Yes, the external drive can be used as a boot drive.

Simple answer is no. Xbox will auto boot from the internal hdd. You can transfer your games to it and they will load much faster.

Yes if you create a boot drive and your computer/laptop supports usb boot.

I don’t see why you couldn’t use it as a boot drive. It has plenty on memory to place such data on the drive. Would just need to ensure that you unlock the drive for it has security software in place. Would also need to ensure you direct the pathway of your computer as to what source you want to use for the boot.
