Yes, you can connect this external hard drive to your laptop and view/ edit Microsoft Office files directly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must search the appropriate drive to locate your files. That's gonna happen on any computer. You can open, edit and save from and to the external drive. If you rename a file I suggest you determine where you want the file to reside and direct it when you save it. (C-drive or D-drive, etc)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes Dave. An external drive enables you to extend the storage life of your computer because it's a storage device. You can then transfer files from you computer to the SDD and they'll remain resident there for your use anytime. Additionally, you can take the SDD with you if needed, because it's portable. It's small in size, less than half the size of most cellphones/smartphones. It too is powered by the device it's connected to via usb or your Android device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1.Yes. You can see everything exactly the same as you would see on your C drive or any other drive. 2.Yes. You can do all actions on the SSD drive the same as you can on any other drive. No, you don't need to export back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can do anything you want to the files just like they were on your laptop HDD. In fact, there is a good chance that using this portable unit will be faster and more reliable than your internal laptop drive.
