“Once data is backed up on the T5 may it be downloaded onto a different computer from the one initially backed up from. If I buy a new computer for example, may I download the data on the T5 to the new computer?”

I just copy my data to the external drive and then copy the files back to the target PC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not always. Depends on the type of back up. If you are just copying files,pictures and just general data then yes. But if your backup is in the form of a complete copy of the OS drive there will be a lot of information that could hurt a different computer. Like OS system files and boot managers. Still possible to do so just make sure you move only the data you need/want on the new machine.
