iPad Pro: Absolutely with no workaround.
iPhone X: ..... YES. Allot of places will tell you no but the short answer is, Yes.
The only prerequisite being that it must be plugged into the "Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Camera Adapter" (the one with pass-through charging)
with a charger plugged into the lightning port on the adapter itself as the T5 draws a little more power than most thumb drives.

They do work with any USB c compatible Android phones though these are very low voltage drives the only reason why they wouldn't work would be software .

It doesn’t work.
I have all 3 devices and proper cables and tried.

Pops up a message saying the device uses too much power.

It works for me once I upgraded my ipad to Ipad OS. However when I set up a password for the SSD, the ipad would not recognise it. So it works if there was no password set up for the SSD.

If youre looking for a lightning-port compatible external storage, just search “ipad/iphone external storage”. As of last year storage devices have hit the market that have both a lightning plug and usb plug to transfer data between your iphone/ipad and regular computers

Hey,

I believe it works natively on iPad Pros but to use it with your iPhone you'll need to get a lightning to USB + lightning adapter (https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK0W2AM/A/lightning-to-usb-3-camera-adapter), that's what I use on my iPhone 11 pro. Connect your SSD and plug in your charger into the other port and it'll work.

just bought very expensive iphone cable usb c to lightening as i have the iphone xs and samsung don't provide usb c to lightening cable. still not working does anyone know which cable or adaptor is compatible please?

If u have a type c to type a USB this should work fine. U may need to download drivers for Mac OS from Samsung before use. Most portable drives/hubs require this. It's a Mac thing I guess.

iPhone and Ipad doesn't have a USB port. But if you can find a USB adapter that works with iPhone port then it may work, but I have not tried this my self.
