That would depend on your phone, it's possible. If your android phone has a USB Type-C port then you should be able to connect it and browse files. I'm an Apple guy and I can connect this to the iPad Pro and browse and copy files to/from it, so I'd imagine you can do the same. It just depends if your phone supports USB Host mode or not, and I can't answer that question for your specific situation.
