Same happening to mine even when TV is off. Any ideas?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a wall mounted 55" Terrace tv and love it. But when I put my ear next to the back of the tv I hear what sounds like a continuously running fan. I can hear this faint sound 24X7 whenever I'm up close to the tv, whether the tv is turned on or off. The only way to stop the sound is to unplug the power cord from the tv. Will this cause the fan inside the tv to fail prematurely? I contacted Samsung service and they have a service person coming by tomorrow to look at it. I'll try to re-post here after I hear what the service person has to say.

Most likely caused by hot (75 and above) temps even when TV is turned Off. Seems that all smart TVs never turn off completely when Off button is pressed on your remote, background processes continue running to allow quick startup when TV is turned back On. Fan runs if temp is hot to continue cooling. However, it is a good idea to unplug the TV to remove power (shut down background processes and the fan) if TV will not be used for a long period of time. BTW, the continuously running fan does not impact listening to TV audio because the sound is so faint you have to put your ear next to the back of the TV to hear the fan sound.

Please try again later. From what little I've been able to learn from asking lots of questions, I don't think it's a real problem for the fan to keep runni ng, even with tv turned off. HOWEVER, my tv is setup not too distant from the circuit breaker panel that provides power to the outlet that the tv plugs into. So it's real easy for me to simply switch the circuit breaker off whenever I'm done watching the tv for the night, which is what I do. Then I simply turn the breaker back on when I want to watch again.

Samsung support couldn't answer the "simple question" of should the fan inside my Terrace TV be running 24X7 even when the TV is turned Off. Instead, Samsung referred me to their 3rd party support company with whom I made an appointment to come look and listen to my TV and give me the answer. However, after looking at online reviews for Samsung's 3rd party support company I decided I didn't want them near my TV. I cancelled my appointment with that support company, so I still don't have an answer to my "simple question"; i.e. should the fan remain running 24X7 inside my Terrace TV even while the TV remains turned Off for days at a time? Won't this cause the fan to fail prematurely? Someone at Samsung should be able to give an answer!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same thing with mine. Thankfully I’m still within 30 days so getting a new set.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Did you get this figured out? I have the 65" version that I just got installed and noticed the fans were running tonight when it hasn't been turned on once today and is nighttime. It's 75 degrees outside and the set doesn't feel even remotely warm. This seems like a problem that is going to cause the fans to prematurely fail if they run 24/7.
