Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi A., Great question. I am adding Dolby Atmos when I get my audio parts being ordered on Black Friday. I carefully picked 2 Blu Rays Disks (Suggested from a youtube, ten top Dolby Atmos Blu Ray disks). I assumed my 9700 would play that track! My AV8805 has Dolby Atmos as part of height 1 XLR OUT(there are 3 (1,2,3) total for ceiling speakers etc.). The test of the 9700 and Dolby Atmos should be next week. We are both screwed if 9700 is not compatible with Dolby Atmos. I am assuming you are close to making that type of test soon?? Would be nice if you could let me know as I will you. Using Audessy (sp) the Marantz should allow me to calibrate the Dolby Atmos. I have read so many testimonials how well the Dolby Atmos works I am hoping the AV8805 upscales regular TV to Dolby Atmos as well. I happen to deal with a lot of different 4k Blu Ray players, none mention Dolby Atmos. I chose the Samsung 9700 in part as it controls the volume on my Samsung QLED TV. The is no volume control for receiver out on the TV, except in PCM mode. Sound bars, headphones etc. theG1
