Yes, it also activated the 4k my Xbox one s improved picture, along with the apps that come with the uhd kit like vudu now in 4k Amazon and Netflix are also showing a lot of titles with 4k.

Please try again later.I just installed this kit on my UN65.... and it seems to be crisper, brighter less motion jitter and its nice to know that it has the best tech available for that expensive TV. I was going to take it back if I didn't see a difference...but its on my TV to stay. I think this kit was released back in 2015 so its already a few years behind, but $400 is cheaper than a new TV and has quite a few upgrades over the original box. This "evolution kit" was part of the reason I bought the TV to begin with, so I figured I had better get one while they are still available. I doubt another will be released.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a samsung 65 inch uhd 3d tv that I purchased in 2015. After installing the evolution kit I got a new menu to work with and a new remote. As far as picture quality or speed I did not notice any difference. It's a lot of money for not much of anything. It may work for you though since your purchased your tv in 2014.
